The Payette Basin Foundation helps identify land for protection and the funds to make it happen. It also helps raise those funds through charitable campaigns and legislative or voter initiatives. Specifically, the goals of the Foundation are to:
- Set aside open space from development
- Create parks and provide recreation opportunities
- Guide growth
- Preserve local character
- Safeguard water supplies
- Protect wildlife
- Conserve important natural resources
