You're invited to our first-ever open house.
Save the date! On Saturday, September 9th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. we'll be showcasing the first four homes to go up at Blackhawk on the River. Refreshments will be served. The Steelhead and Kokanee floorplans will be open to tour on home sites 5 and 12, and the interior fixtures for the Caddis and Redridge floorplans will be on display at home sites 3 and 54. All architectural designs were made exclusively for Blackhawk by the renowned McCall firm Epikos, and are being built by C & H Contractors, one of the Valley's premier builders. Please call (208) 630-5070 or stop by our downtown McCall sales office at 112 North 3rd Street for more information.
Everest Construction breaks ground on two new homes.
Everest Construction broke ground early this month on two new homes at Blackhawk on the River. They will be situated directly alongside the Payette River on home sites 4 and 6. Everest Construction is a preferred builder for both Blackhawk and Tamarack Resort, and was the first company to begin work on a custom built chalet for Tamarack.
Travel Channel and Style Network film Blackhawk.
Filming will begin this week at Blackhawk on the River for a segment on Second Home & Retirement Destinations for the television series "Great Taste." The program will air nationally on both The Travel Channel and Style Network. Blackhawk is one of the only communities of its kind in the Pacific Northwest selected for the production, reflecting the project's unique nature and stand-out design. We'll keep you updated when it airs! Read the complete press release here.
Blackhawk's western office interior makes Star News.
If you haven't been to our downtown McCall office at 112 North 3rd Street, feel free to stop by, even if it's just to look around. Recently, we were featured in the Star News for our one-of-a-kind interior design. Kevin Dammerman, owner of Idaho Rustic Wood Products, created a space for the office that utilizes organic and recycled materials reminiscent of the West in the late 1800s. The office is decorated with wood reclaimed from various parts of the Northwest, as well as an antique crosscut saw, animal skulls and a 5-foot long blacksmith bellows.
Blackhawk gives back.
Blackhawk continues to give back to the McCall community (and beyond) through a variety of sponsorships and donations. We were the title sponsor for the highly successful Blackhawk Mountain Triathlon, an August 5th fundraiser event for the Little Ski Hill. This summer, the Triathlon raised over $4,000 more than the previous year due to Blackhawk's support. We also sponsored a U-16 girls' softball tournament team, "Mountain Madness." The team placed fourth in the tournament. And Blackhawk is now helping to sponsor a McCall softball player and Northwest Nazarene University scholarship recipient, Dana Shipley, on a softball trip to Arizona and Australia. In addition, we recently contributed to a Big Brothers/Big Sisters drive to help recruit adult mentors for the organization.
