Welcome to Blackhawk on the River's monthly e-newsletter. Blackhawk is a 1551-acre, conservation-oriented community set along five miles of the Payette River, just 10 minutes southwest of downtown McCall. Blackhawk River Lodge to Showcase Cutting-Edge LEED Principles
Construction on our much-anticipated River Lodge community center began this October. The 13,000 sq. ft. facility was designed by McCall's Epikos Land Planning + Architecture using LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) principles and nanosolar technology. These innovative techniques are certified by the U.S. Green Building Council to conserve energy and protect environmental quality. This complements the entire design concept for Blackhawk on the River. The overall Blackhawk community will include over 500 acres of open space, and will seamlessly blend new construction with the existing (and spectacular) landscape. Epikos has also designed floor plans for homes at Blackhawk on the River (see them here).

Blackhawk Lakes Net Big Catches.
Blackmare and Rock Lakes at Blackhawk on the River were stocked in late July with 1,700 six-to-16-inch rainbow trout and 1,100 bluegill and bass. These lakes were designed to be prime fish habitat, and have already yielded some great, photo-worthy fish. November is a scenic, peaceful time to visit McCall. Stop by on Nov. 22 to Nov. 25 to see the McCall Festival of Trees and attend the McCall Christmas Fair.
